What lurks in our cosmetics is certainly not always associated with "beauty". Sodium Lauryl Sulfate (SLS) and Sodium Laureth Sulfate (SLES) are dangerous chemicals commonly used in most soaps, shampoos, detergents and toothpaste mainly because they are cheap. SLES is often contaminated with dioxane, a known carcinogen. SLS in our soaps is the same as found in a car wash or garage where it is used to degrease car engines. Better off left there than in the bathroom!
